It is one of the strongest replicated genome-wide associations for the photic sneeze reflex (sneezing triggered by sudden bright light), with the minor allele increasing risk in both a large web-based US cohort (23andMe, OR about 1.32) and an independent Chinese cohort (OR about 1.68).
